Dr. Simone Muench Shares Expertise in Creative Writing

Beyond the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ classroom, Dr. Simone Muench, professor of English and director of English Studies Writing Concentration, is sharing her knowledge of creative writing around the globe.

On September 6, Muench shared her creative work at the in Chicago. Alongside Illinois Poet Laureate Mark Turcotte, Muench shared her writing at the festival on the Joseph & Bessie Feinberg Foundation Stage. The Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest outdoor festival in Chicago, featuring hundreds of authors, booksellers, and literary organizations that offer a diverse variety of programs for all ages.

Additionally, Muench was invited to teach a creative writing workshop abroad this summer at the in Kefalonia, Greece. The international institution embraces the globalization needs in both the art and academic worlds by establishing mutually beneficial connections between institutions and communities. The Ionion Center aims to foster an innovative model in education that’s prepared for the changing world.
